ADVENTURES IN LEARNING

In Adventures in Learning we have four different sessions--Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Every Thursday during session, we begin at 9:30 a.m. with Chair Exercises. At 10:00 a.m. our participants can choose between Tai Chi or News and Views. We then have a time for fellowship and coffee from 10:40 - 11:00. The 11:00 hour is filled with an intellectually stimulating program. General announcements are made before we divide up for lunch or Line Dancing at 12:00.

After lunch, we have another program of varied subjects; and then, some of us stay and play bridge or other games, such as variations of Dominoes, and Rummikube. We draw on people from our Dallas/Ft. Worth community for our major morning and afternoon programs, but we rely on the voluntary talents of our very own members to lead and teach our other programs. After all, we believe lifelong learning is important for our intellectual stimulation and development. All activities are held at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 2nd floor of Christ Family Center, 9200 Inwood Rd., Dallas, TX
